Edelman
Oliver is an experienced advisor to senior executives on countering mis- and disinformation. He leads Edelman’s Counter-Disinformation Unit in EMEA, advising clients across the tech, healthcare, financial, and media sectors on the threats that AI-enabled mis- and disinformation, including deep fakes, pose to their businesses and brands, and how to counter these.
Prior to Edelman, Oliver worked for the UK Government for 20 years in a variety of national security roles overseas and in the UK, covering geo-political risk, cyber-security, inter-state ‘grey zone’ conflict and disinformation. Latterly, he focused on AI-related opportunities and threats at the AI Security Institute, the National Security Strategic Investment Fund and during a secondment to the European defence tech unicorn, Helsing.
